Ridley Scott's "The Terror" on AMC

AMC is ready for a new third season of the 'historical horror' anthology series "The Terror", from Ridley Scott's Scott Free Productions, following Season 1 inspired by the 'Royal Navy' 1847 voyage through the Northwest Passage and Season 2 set during WWII in a US Japanese prison camp:

"I love the concept of historical and horror", said AMC chief Sarah Barnett. "...a brilliant metaphorical way to talk about being human and the jagged emotions we feel.

"So, setting it in such a heightened and particular historical moment that has great stakes, such as internment camps or the Northwest passage, is really interesting. We don't just want to keep doing the same thing.

"We absolutely remain committed to making shows that are long-running, ongoing series..."
