"Peacock", NBC's upcoming streaming platform, will present Aldous Huxley's "Brave New World", as a new live-action dramatic adaptation of the 'utopian society' novel:
"...in 'Brave New World', a utopian society has achieved peace and stability through the prohibition of monogamy, privacy, money, family and history. As citizens of 'New London', 'Bernard Marx' (Harry Lloyd) and 'Lenina Crowne' (Brown Findlay) have only ever known a rigid social order, a tranquilizing pharmaceutical called 'Soma' and a culture of instant gratification and ubiquitous sex.
Curious to explore life beyond the strictures of their society, the two 'New Worlders' embark on a vacation to the 'Savage Lands', where they become embroiled in a harrowing and violent rebellion.
"Brave New World" author Huxley experimented with drugs and in November 1963, lying on his death bed he asked his wife to inject him with the hallucinogenic 'LSD 100 intramuscular' before passing away...
