Ridley trained in drama at the 'Tring Park School for the Performing Arts'. She began acting in minor guest roles on television and in short films, making her film debut in the independent horror film "Scrawl" (2015).

Ridley rose to international prominence for playing the lead role of 'Rey' in the "Star Wars" sequel trilogy, starring in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" (2015), "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" (2017), and the upcoming "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker" (2019).

"...'Rey' is a scavenger who was left behind on the planet 'Jakku' when she was a child, and later becomes involved with the 'Resistance' and their conflict with the 'First Order'...

"...when her solitary life is interrupted by 'BB-8', the 'droid' of ace Resistance pilot 'Poe Dameron' and a runaway stormtrooper named 'Finn..."

"Having nearly completed her training as a 'Jedi' by studying the sacred texts, she will help bring an end to the millennia-long conflict between the Jedi and the 'Sith', wielding her dual-bladed 'lightsaber' in a reverse grip..."
