The Green New Deal - "Swamp Thing" Canceled

After streaming on "DC Universe" May 31, 2019, the new "Swamp Thing" TV series, adapting the DC Comics characters, has been canceled by Warner Media and AT&T, as executives of the company reportedly "...did not like anything about 'Swamp Thing' including the title, creative direction, performances and budget:

"...when researcher 'Abby Arcane' returns to her childhood home of Houma, Louisiana...

"...to investigate a deadly swamp-borne virus...

"...she develops a bond with scientist 'Alec Holland'...

"...only to have him tragically taken from her.

"But as powerful forces descend on Houma, intent on exploiting the swamp’s mysterious properties for their own purposes...

"...Abby will soon discover that 'the swamp' holds mystical secrets, both horrifying and wondrous—and the potential love of her life may not be dead after all..."

Cast includes Andy Bean and Derek Mears as 'Alec Holland'/ 'Swamp Thing', Crystal Reed as 'Abby Arcane', Maria Sten as 'Liz Tremayne', Jeryl Prescott as 'Madame Xanadu', Virginia Madsen as 'Maria Sunderland', Will Patton as 'Avery Sunderland', Henderson Wade as 'Matt Cable', Ian Ziering as 'Daniel Cassidy'/ 'Blue Devil' and Leonardo Nam as 'Harlan Edwards'.
