Based on the true story of the 'Battle of Midway', a turning point in the Pacific during World War II, the new film chronicles the heroic exploits of soldiers and aviators "...who turned the tide of the war..."
"Midway" is being produced by Emmerich's Centropolis Entertainment, with Harald Kloser and Mark Gordon. Starlight Entertainment Group and Jixiang Entertainment are financing the film.
US and China theatrical distribution is set with Lionsgate through its Summit Entertainment label stateside and Bona Film Group in Greater China.
AGC International, the international sales and distribution arm of AGC Studios, sold most of the film’s worldwide rights to "Midway' at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival.
