Casting is underway on the developing big budget Marvel Studios feature "The Eternals", created by Jack Kirby (1976) for Marvel Comics, following an offshoot of the evolutionary process that created sentient life on Earth, leading to a war with the 'Deviants, to be directed by Chloe Zhao from a screenplay by Matthew and Ryan Firpo, starring Angelina Jolie, reportedly playing 'Sersi':
"...when the 'Celestials' visited Earth five million years ago and performed genetic experiments...
"...on early 'proto-humanity', they created two divergent races...
"...including the long-lived 'Eternals' and the genetically unstable and monstrously grotesque 'Deviants'.
"Despite looking human, Eternals are long-lived, protecting the human race from the Deviants..."
