USA Network has given a straight-to-series order, adapting author Aldous Huxley's iconic, 1932 dystopian novel, "Brave New World", imagining a utopian society dependent on 'soma' tranquilizing drugs, achieving peace and stability through the prohibition of monogamy, privacy, money and family, from Universal Content Productions and Amblin Television:
"...previously produced for television by the BBC, the story is set in a futuristic 'World State' of genetically modified citizens and an intelligence-based social hierarchy...
