'Quentin Beck' Is 'Mysterio'

Take a close look at 'Quentin Beck' aka 'Mysterio', co-star of the new film "Spider-Man: Far From Home":

Mysterio, created by writer Stan Lee and illustrator/co-plotter Steve Ditko, debuted in Marvel's "The Amazing Spider-Man" #13 as Quentin Beck, a special effects wizard/stunt man working for a major Hollywood studio.

His attempts to become an actor were poorly received, but realized his expertise in illusions could make him an effective criminal.

He developed his skills as a master hypnotist, magician, amateur chemist and roboticist, with extensive knowledge of hand-to-hand combat techniques learned as a stuntman.

His most striking feature, his helmet, is made of a one way plexiglass material. The helmet also includes an air supply to protect him from his own gasses, a Sonar to navigate within his own 'mist cloak' and a holographic projector to aid in 3D illusions.

His boots contain magnetic coil springs which allow him to leap as well as the ability to cling to surfaces.

His most distinctive and persistent trademark however is his smokescreen cloak, containing nozzles in the boots and wrists that can release a constant stream of smoke, shielding his movements.
