Take a look at more footage, including an extended title sequence from director James Wan's undersea adventure "Aquaman", the newest member of the billion dollar box office club, starring Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, Nicole Kidman, Willem Dafoe and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II:
The sixth installment in the 'DC Extended Universe', screenplay of "Aquaman" is by Will Beall...
...from a story by Wan and Geoff Johns, showcasing the title character for the third time...
...following "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" (2016) and "Justice League" (2017).
"...'Arthur Curry', heir to the underwater kingdom of 'Atlantis', must step forward to lead his people and to be a hero to the world..."
"Justice League was only a weekend in Arthur Curry’s life," said Jason Momoa, aka 'Arthur Curry'.
"This is a totally different beast. In 'Aquaman', you see when his parents met and what happened to them.
"Then the little boy being raised and finding his powers and going through that and never being accepted on either side. And then becoming this man who puts up all these walls.
"Aquaman has been the joke of the comic book world," said Wan, "but the more I thought about it, the more I thought how cool that would be. Let’s take the character everybody makes fun of and do something really interesting with him."
Oscar winner Nicole Kidman plays 'Queen Atlanna', the mother of 'Aquaman'.
"In her first origin stories she left 'Atlantis' to travel abroad, but was almost killed in a raging hurricane. Her unconscious body was found by 'Tom Curry', an ex-sailor, now lonely lighthouse keeper.
"Tom nursed her back to health, then made love with the princess, until they had a son 'Arthur Curry'.
"She kept her Royal Atlantean origins secret, until on her deathbed, she confessed the truth about her life to Tom and young Arthur..."
