November 22, 1963, Democrat US President John F. Kennedy was assassinated, with the public still waiting for the last classified documents related to the killing to be released more than 50 years later:
April 26, 2018, in compliance with a deadline set by President Trump, the National Archives released 19,045 additional documents from the JFK assassination files, with Trump ordering government agencies to "re-review each of the redactions over the next three years" and set a deadline for further release of documents October 26, 2021.
