Sneak Peek new footage from Season 6 of the crime drama series "Ray Donovan", starring Liev Schreiber, premiering October 28, 2018 on Showtime:
"...premise of the series, set in Los Angeles, California, follows 'Ray Donovan' (Schreiber), originally from South Boston, who works for the powerful law firm 'Goldman & Drexler', representing the rich and famous. Donovan is a 'fixer', arranging 'activities', to ensure the outcome desired by the client.
"Good at his job, and no common hood, Ray is normally a devoted family man as well. He experiences his own problems when his menacing father, 'Mickey Donovan' (Jon Voight), is unexpectedly released from prison, while a politically motivated 'FBI' attempts to bring down Ray and his associates..."
In Season 6, after five years in Los Angeles the series has re-located to New York City, shooting 12 new episodes.
"For our show, creatively, New York is exciting", said series producer David Hollander. "Fashion, media, finance, theater, culture. It's going to present new challenges for 'Ray' which means new opportunities for us as dramatists. Ray came to Los Angeles to build a life for himself and his family. They’re not there anymore. Ray's career has changed and he is looking for a place to rebuild his life. Ray thinks he went to New York to help his daughter. He's going to find out he's there to help himself..."
