The CW has ordered a new TV pilot adapting the "Roswell High" book series by author Melinda Metz, following "...the daughter of undocumented immigrants, who falls in love with a police officer who is in reality an alien..."
The 10-book "Roswell High" series chronicles the adventures of three teen 'aliens' and their human friends, who attend the fictional 'Ulysses F. Roswell High' in Roswell, New Mexico.
A "Roswell" TV series, previously adapted from the books, aired from 1999-2002.
