According to sale figures released by Diamond Comic Distributors, Marvel Comics was the top comic book publisher for 2017, earning 36.36 percent of the dollar share to 30.07 percent for second-place DC Comics, with Marvel's "Marvel Legacy" the #1 top-selling comic book for the year, written by Jason Aaron and illustrated by Esad Ribic:
