"Blade Runner" Director Mounting "Cleopatra"



Denis Villeneuve ("Blade Runner 2049") is in negotiations to direct "Cleopatra", with Angelina Jolie attached to star, based on author Stacy Schiff’s best-selling book "Queen of the Nile":


Elizabeth Taylor previously played "Cleopatra" (1963).


The historical 'Cleopatra VII Philopator', believed to be the re-incarnation and embodiment of a goddess...


... was Greek-born, to become the last person to rule Egypt as a 'pharaoh'. After she died, Egypt became a Roman province.
