More "Betty & Veronica"

Archie Comics' "Betty & Veronica" by Adam Hughes" #3, now available, is written by Hughes, with illustrations by Hughes, José Villarubia, Jack Morellick and a cover by Hughes:

"...it all breaks loose in 'Riverdale' as the final act of 'Betty ^ Veronica' reaches its combustible conclusion.

"The streets of Riverdale run red under the rockets’ red glare and no one will ever be the same..."

'Betty' first appeared in "Pep Comics" #22 while 'Veronica' made her debut a few months later in "Pep" #26, as an immediate rival to Betty for the affection of 'Archie'. Together the pair form the female part of the classic love triangle which has become a staple of the comic series since 1942.

In the 1950's "Mad Magazine" did a classic take on the characters.
