According to Marvel TV, actress Simone Missick, will co-star as Marvel Comics' 'Misty Knight', in both the Netflix series "Luke Cage" and "Iron Fist":
"I can tell you that what she's doing on 'Iron Fist,' it's just incredible," said Jeph Loeb, head of Marvel Television. "The fans are really going to love it."
'Misty Knight' first appeared in Marvel Comics' "Marvel Premiere" #20 (January 1975) created by writer Tony Isabella and illustrator Arvell Jones as a bionically enhanced black female detective with martial arts skills.
"Misty was seriously injured preventing a bomb attack back when she was a police officer with the 'NYPD'. Her right arm was amputated and rather than take a desk job, she resigned from the police force.
"'Tony Stark' provided her with a bionic arm which endowed her superhuman strength..."
"Luke Cage" debuts September 30, 2016 on Netflix.
"Iron Fist" will debut in 2017.
