Sony continues developing a fresh adaptation of author H.G. Wells' public domain science fiction novella "The Invisible Man", casting the scientist 'Griffin' as a terrorist villain, to be produced by Lucy Fisher and Doug Wick ("Divergent"):
The film has no connection to "The Invisible Man" reboot@ Universal.
"...'Griffin' is a scientist devoted to research into optics, inventing a way to change a body's refractive index to that of air, so that it absorbs and reflects no light and thus becomes invisible.
"He successfully carries out this procedure on himself, but fails in his attempt to reverse the procedure, devoting himself to a psychotic 'reign of terror'..."
