"X-Men: Apocalypse"- Violence Against Mutant Women ?

According to reports, a movie poster promoting "X-Men: Apocalypse", picturing  mutant 'Mystique' (Jennifer Lawrence) strangled in a choke-hold by 'Apocalypse' (Oscar Isaac), has sparked outrage because of its depiction of "violence against women...":

Actress Rose McGowan ("Grindhouse") has been the most vocal over the ads, that depict a scene from the movie.

McGowan said the ad trivializes violence against women.

"There is a major problem when the men and women at 20th Century Fox think casual violence against women is the way to market a film," she said.

"There is no context in the ad, just a woman getting strangled. The fact that no one flagged this is offensive and, frankly, stupid..."

As a 'shape-shifter', 'Mystique' aka 'Raven', can alter the formation of her biological cells at will. As a result she can cause herself to look and sound like an exact duplicate of any human of either sex, wearing virtually any kind of clothing.

Her control is so exact she can precisely duplicate another persons retina pattern in her own eyes, finger, palm and skin-pore patterns on her own hands and skin, and vocal cords to match voices.

She can also make herself look exactly like a person who is physically bigger than herself...

...though she will not weigh as much as the real person does...
