According to Sony Chairman Tom Rothman, the studio's developing animated "Spider-Man" feature film from director/producers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller ("The Lego Movie"), will now be released December 21, 2018 :
Rothman said the film "will exist independently of the projects in the live-action 'Spider-Man' universe...
"...all of which are continuing."
One project includes the landmark Marvel Studios/Sony co-venture, rebooting the next live-action "Spider-Man" feature...
...debuting in 2017, to be co-produced by Marvel's Kevin Feige.
The 'Spider-Man' character, now played by Tom Holland, made his 'Marvel Cinematic Universe' debut May 6, 2016 in "Captain America: Civil War".
