"Superior" To The Big Screen

According to 20th Century Fox, writers are developing a screenplay adapting Marvel's Icon imprint comic book series "Superior", created by Mark Millar of "Kick-Ass" and "Kingsman: The Secret Service" fame:

Brandon and Phillip Murphy will deliver a screenplay, adapting the comic book series by writer Millar and illustrator Leinil Yu.

Tarquin Pack and Matthew Vaughn are attached to produce.

"...'Superior' focuses on a young boy who loses his social life when he is stricken by a debilitating disease. One night, an 'alien monkey' grants the boy one wish and he chooses to become his favorite superhero, a character named 'Superior'.

"But the boy discovers that the monkey is actually a demon from Hell and the boy must sell his soul if he is to remain the powerful hero -- or return to his original body..."
