DC's "Booster Gold" Movie Updates

According to reports, Warners is fast-tracking a comedic "...buddy cop superhero feature...", based on DC Comics characters, to be directed/executive produced by "Arrow" and "The Flash" producer Greg Berlanti:

DC Comics' superheroes 'Booster Gold' and 'Blue Beetle' will star in a new feature before appearing in a "Justice League" feature.

'Booster Gold'  was created for DC Comics by Dan Jurgens, debuting in "Booster Gold" #1 (February 1986) and has been a member of the 'Justice League'.

The character is initially depicted as a glory-seeking showboat from the future, using knowledge of historical events and futuristic technology to stage high-publicity heroics.

Booster develops over the course of his publication history and through personal tragedies to become a true hero weighed down by the reputation he created for himself.

With no superhuman abilities, he is an excellent athlete, gaining 'powers' from artifacts he stole from a museum in the future. A 'power suit' also grants him super strength, while wrist blasters allow him to project force blasts.

'Blue Beetle' aka 'Jaime Reyes' debuted in DC Comics' "Infinite Crisis" #3 (Feb. 2006), created by writers Keith Giffen, John Rogers and illustrator Cully Hamner.

'Dan Garrett', the original BB was an archaeologist who discovers and uses the 'Blue Beetle Scarab' to fight crime. His successor was 'Ted Kord', taking up his mentor's mantle using martial arts and gadgetry when he couldn't unlock the scarab's power.

Jaime Reyes then used the scarab to construct an exo-skeleton, joining the 'Teen Titans'.
