"Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice" - 'Aquaman'



Take another look @ actor Jason Momoa, aka 'Aquaman' in "Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice", confirming his character will become more prominent in "Justice League", "Justice League- Part 2", plus a standalone "Aquaman" movie to be directed by James Wan:


Momoa confirmed he is signed for 4 films as 'Aquaman', the 'King Of The Seven Seas'.


"'Aquaman' will be in 'Batman v Superman' because the fishes were affected due to the 'World Engine' under the ocean, as seen in 'Man of Steel'..."


Unlike Marvel's 'Atlantean'-human hybrid 'Namor the Sub-Mariner', 'Aquaman' is all human, created by Paul Norris and Mort Weisinger, debuting in "More Fun Comics" #73 (November 1941)...


...initially as a backup feature in DC's anthology titles, then starred in several volumes of a solo title. 


"...the story must start with my father, a famous undersea explorer — if I spoke his name, you would recognize it. My mother died when I was a baby, and he turned to his work of solving the ocean's secrets. 


"His greatest discovery was an ancient city, in the depths where no other diver had ever penetrated. My father believed it was the lost kingdom of 'Atlantis'. During the late 1950's and 1960's superhero-revival period known as the 'Silver Age'...


...Aquaman was a founding member of the 'Justice League of America'.
