"Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice" - 'Jimmy Olsen' ?

Take another look @ images from the Detroit, Michigan set of director Zack Snyder's "Man Of Steel" sequel, "Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice", revealing business-dressed Scoot McNairy ("Halt and Catch Fire") quietly having a cigarette between takes wearing 'green screen socks', as a character that he refers to as a 'thing':

"It’s definitely 100% a character I’ve never played and I can’t speak too freely on it," said McNairy, " But yeah, getting into that 'thing' was definitely something I had to wrap my head around emotionally, in order to play that character. But with that being said, I had a lot of fun doing it when I was in the process of shooting on it — my head was in a different place but I’m really excited to see how it turns out and what they do with it and see the film."

According to some reports, Scoot could be playing DC Comics' 'Jimmy Olsen', but with a bit of a twist. Jimmy was injured during the battle of 'Zod' vs 'Superman'. His legs were pinned under falling building rubble and that caused him to lose the legs.

He now walks with prosthetic legs that will be realized with CGI FX, hence the green-screen socks. Jimmy doesn't blame Superman for the accident, but grateful to 'Kal-El' for saving the world..."

'The comic book origins of Jimmy Olsen began as an unnamed 'office boy' debuted in DC's "Action Comics" #6 (November 1938). That character was also first introduced as 'Jimmy Olsen' in the radio show "The Adventures of Superman", April 15, 1940.

With Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster creating and drawing the physical appearance and giving him a bigger personality, the character moved from the radio show back into the comics in 1941, in "Superman"#13 (November–December 1941).

In 1953, with actor Jack Larson playing the character on the "Adventures of Superman" TV series, he was referred to as 'Jim Olsen'..

...then given his own DC Comics title.
