Marvel Studios prepping "Captain America 2" aka "Captain America: Civil War", will be integral to the growing 'Marvel Cinematic Universe':
With the working production title of "Sputnik", the new film is based on the 2006–2007 Marvel Comics crossover storyline built around a self-titled seven-issue limited series written by Mark Millar and illustrated by Steve McNiven...
...which also ran through various other titles published by Marvel at the time.
The plot follows a storyline in which the US government passes a 'Superhero Registration Act' designed to have superpowered characters act under official regulation.
Those opposed to the act, led by 'Captain America', find themselves in conflict with those in support of the act, led by 'Iron Man'.
The events of the series touch upon themes of liberty, moral responsibility and civil order, with good-intentioned superhero characters finding themselves on different sides.
