"Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice' - 'Aquaman'

'Aquaman', the 1940's DC Comics superhero, inspired by Marvel's 'Sub-Mariner', is played by actor Jason Momoa in director Zack Snyder's "Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice" in an introductory role that will become more prominent in Snyder's 2 follow-up films, "Justice League" and "Justice League- Part 2":

"'Aquaman' will be in the movie, because the fishes were affected due to the 'World Engine' under the ocean, as seen in 'Man of Steel'..."

Created by Paul Norris and Mort Weisinger, the underwater 'King Of Atlantis' debuted in "More Fun Comics" #73 (November 1941), initially as a backup feature in DC's anthology titles, then starred in several volumes of a solo title.

During the late 1950's and 1960's superhero-revival period known as the 'Silver Age', Aquaman was a founding member of the 'Justice League of America'.

The upcoming DC animated feature, "Justice League: Throne of Atlantis", available April 2015, showcases 'Arthur Currie' aka 'Aquaman'.

"...as 'Orm' and 'Black Manta' make their move against the surface world after the battle with 'Apokolips'...

"...the queen of the lost underwater civilization of 'Atlantis' searches for her other son, Orm's half brother 'Arthur'.

"Living on the surface world with powers he doesn't understand, 'Arthur Curry' steps into his destiny as 'Aquaman'...

"...teaming with the 'Justice League' to save and unite all people of the world..."

Voice cast includes Matt Lanter, Sam Witwer, Chris Gorham, Jason O'Mara, Shemar Moore, Rosario Dawson, Jerry O'Connell, Nathan Fillion and Sean Astin.
