"Avengers: Age Of Ultron" - 'Hulk' Updates

Marvel Studios' Kevin Feige was recently asked about a solo, stand-alone "Hulk" movie, starring actor Mark Ruffalo as 'ol greenskin', following his appearance in "Avengers: Age Of Ultron".

"We have been discussing after 'Avengers' what that would be, what that would look like", said Feige.

"It’s really Mark Ruffalo's portrayal of 'Bruce Banner', in the way Joss Whedon brought him to life in 'Avengers' ...

"...all of the effort related to Hulk right know is going to 'Age of Ultron'. It’s exciting, because he hasn’t been in any other film, so you can expect to have a lot of 'Bruce Banner' and 'Hulk' in 'Age of Ultron'. Where do we go after that ?

"We’ll see. It will be a little while before we figure that out but, we do think there’s plenty of opportunities with the 'Ruffalo Banner'."

Although Feige has stressed that any new Hulk adventures would take place on Earth because of the character's unique interaction with humanity, fans are still keen to see the character in a live-action treatment of the animated feature "Planet Hulk", when an out-of-control 'Hulk' is banished into space on the orders of the 'Illuminati', a secret order that includes 'Doctor Strange', 'Black Bolt' (of 'The Inhumans') 'Charles Xavier', 'Reed Richards', 'Namor' and 'Iron Man', becoming an unbeatable gladiatorial champion on an alien world.

"...superheroes hatch a plot to get the 'Hulk' off of Earth, as 'Iron Man' is worried about Hulk running amok and losing control.

"After plotting with 'Nick Fury' to subdue the Hulk, Iron Man places him in a spaceship charted for an uninhabited planet.

"When he awakens on board the shuttle realizing he had been abducted, the Hulk goes into a fit of rage and breaks his restraints, causing enough damage for the craft to veer off course.

"Trapped in a wormhole, the shuttle crashes onto the world of 'Sakaar'.

"Hulk quickly finds himself imprisoned along with 'Hiroim', 'Korg', 'Miek', 'Elloe Kaifi' and the android 'Lavin Skee, all forced to fight for freedom in gladiator combat..."

Actor Mark Ruffalo, currently reprising his role as Marvel Comics' 'Bruce Banner' aka 'The Hulk' in director Joss Whedon's "Avengers: Age of Ultron", said that with a standalone "Hulk" movie, he would like it to include an 'eco-friendly' message:

"...as artists we have an ability to reach a lot of people in a deep way, and we have a responsibility," said Ruffalo.

"What we have to do as storytellers is to take science and make it relatable. I think we have to tell the story of the positive and what we're going to try to do. Give them alternatives but don't make it a polemic.

"...in 'The Avengers', if you took my screentime it would come to about ten minutes, along with the 12 other people I'm sharing the screen with, so my input's kind of limited on that. But if we get to a standalone 'Hulk' movie, I'll have a much better chance to do that..."

"...'Age Of Ultron' reportedly opens immediately after the 'Baron Von Strucker' post credit scene in 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier'.

"'The Avengers' as a team attack the 'Hyrda' cell run by Strucker.

"He has the staff of 'Loki', 'Chitauri' weaponry and the corpse of a 'Leviathan'.

"'Quicksilver' and 'Scarlet Witch' fight alongside Strucker against the Avengers...

"...Scarlet Witch using her powers to cast a hex on 'Hulk' into thinking the Leviathan is still alive.

"After The Avengers complete their mission they head back to 'Avengers Tower' to party to celebrate together, taking turns trying to pick up the 'Mjölnir', the hammer of 'Thor'.
