The character Mercy Graves debuted in "Superman: The Animated Series" (1996).
Originally the leader of a gang of female thieves, Luthor was impressed by her mixture of ruthlessness and street savvy.
He offered her a job, taking her in and entrusting her with his personal security and 'dirty work'.
A proficient martial artist, Mercy uses a rough, street-form of kickboxing as her preferred form of attack. She is also an expert with most forms of handheld weapons
