"Justice League" Movie Updates

Warner Bros. president of worldwide production Greg Silverman has confirmed the studio will produce a "Justice League" movie, based on the DC Comics superhero team, back-to-back with director Zack Snyder's currently shooting "Man Of Steel" sequel "Batman Vs Superman". Snyder, who filmed "Watchmen" for the studio and directed "Man Of Steel", will direct "Justice League" as well.

Warners has several other movies in development unconnected to "Justice League" based on DC superheroes and fantasy/crime titles.

Those include "Shazam", "Metal Men", "100 Bullets" and "Fables".

Debuting in DC Comics' "The Brave and the Bold" #28 (February/March 1960), the "Justice League" originally featured 'Superman', 'Batman', 'Wonder Woman', 'Flash' ('Barry Allen'), 'Green Lantern' ('Hal Jordan'), 'Aquaman' ('Arthur Curry') and 'Martian Manhunter'.

The team roster has been rotated throughout the years with characters including 'Green Arrow', 'Captain Marvel', 'Black Canary', the 'Atom', 'Hawkman', 'Elongated Man', 'Red Tornado', 'Firestorm', 'Zatanna', 'Hawkgirl', 'Cyborg', 'Vixen' and a whole lot more.

Sidekicks including 'Supergirl', 'Robin', 'Aquagirl' and 'Speedy' were also included when the team received its own comic book title October 1960, publishing for 27 years.
