According to BigGameHunterCa, New Regency and Ubisoft Motion Pictures have attached director Doug Liman ("The Bourne Identity"), to adapt the video game of Tom Clancy's "Splinter Cell" as a feature, starring 'Bane' actor Tom Hardy ("The Dark Knight Rises"):
Producer is Basil Iwanyk from a screenplay by Eric Warren Singer.
Hardy will play 'Sam Fisher', a special operative in the 'black-ops' division 'Echelon', neutralizing international terrorist threats and rogue forces "...in modern, realistic stories ripped from the headlines..."
