'Fredddy Krueger' actor Robert Englund ("Nightmare On Elm Street"), a close friend of actor Mark Hamill of "Star Wars" fame, confirmed that Hamill as 'Luke Skywalker' will be returning for director JJ Abrams' "Star Wars: Episode VII".
"They've got Mark in the gym," said Englund, "because Mark’s coming back as 'Luke Skywalker'. They’ve got him doing his sit ups..."
"Episode VII" screenwriter Michael Arndt placed the series' original characters 'Luke Skywalker', 'Han Solo' and 'Princess Leia' on the sidelines in favor of a new cast, but director Abrams insisted on keeping the trio front and center, with "heavy revisions" made to the script made by writer Lawrence Kasdan.
