According to AMC, the 'zombie' TV series "The Walking Dead" temporarily halted filming after a production member was injured in an on set accident September 6. The injury was serious enough that the individual had to be airlifted from the Senoia, Georgia filming location to a metro Atlanta hospital.
According to reports the injured actor was 20 year old actor Zane Orr, who was playing a 'zombie' on the show. According to the police report, Orr was run over by a two and a half ton military vehicle, when the truck's brakes failed. The truck rolled over the actor's stomach and hips. Even though production was halted due to the accident, filming has since resumed, and AMC spokesperson said the upcoming season would not be affected, premiering October 13, 2013.
