"Grand Theft Auto V": $1 Billion In 3 Days

According to BigGameHunterCa, sales of "Grand Theft Auto V" have topped $1 billion, only three days after its release, setting a new entertainment sales record, for what many critics are calling the best video game ever created:

"...'Michael De Santa' is a retired former bank robber in his early forties who lives with his dysfunctional family on the proceeds of his former life in the upper-class suburb of 'Rockford Hills', based on Beverly Hills. 'Trevor Philips', his former partner in crime, lives alone in a trailer in the desert of 'Blaine County', where his reckless and psychopathic behaviours are fuelled by drug addiction.

"'Franklin Clinton' makes a living in 'Vespucci Beach' as a repo man for an unscrupulous Armenian car dealership. "The three acquaintances are drawn into the 'Los Santos' criminal underworld in the pursuit of the almighty American dollar..."

"Grand Theft Auto is a cultural phenomenon and Rockstar Games continues to redefine what can be achieved in interactive entertainment," said Strauss Zelnick, Chairman and CEO of publisher Take-Two Interactive Software.
