"Breaking Bad: Better Call Saul"

AMC and Sony Pictures Television have now confirmed they have reached a licensing agreement for a TV series spinoff, serving as a prequel, to creator Vince Gilligan’s AMC crime series "Breaking Bad":

"...as conceived, the new series is based on the show’s popular Irish character 'Jimmy McGill' who changed his name to sound like a Jewish lawyer, with the working title 'Better Call Saul'. Plans call for Saul to be a one-hour prequel that will focus on the evolution of the popular character before he ever became the lawyer of 'meth' chemist Walter White'..."

'Saul Goodman' is portrayed by actor Bob Odenkirk, created by Peter Gould, a writer from the "Breaking Bad" series.

Saul is a criminal lawyer and can be easily found in the yellow pages of Albuquerque. His made up surname "Goodman" is a play on words to better attract clients: "'S'all good, man!" becomes "Saul Goodman".

He is also known for his low-budget television commercials in Albuquerque, where he advertises mainly under the tagline "Better Call Saul!"
