"Westworld" Killer Robots

According to reports the husband and wife team of Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy will co-write a pilot script for HBO, adapting writer/director Michael Crichton's "Westworld", a killer robot movie that inspired the 'Terminator'.

Nolan will direct the pilot for executive producers J.J. Abrams, Bryan Burk and Jerry Weintraub.

"...'Westworld' is a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the future of sin..."

The first "Westworld" starred Richard Benjamin and James Brolin as vacationers at an adult-themed amusement park who are tormented by a robot modeled as a Western gunslinger, played by Yul Brynner ("The Magnificent Seven").
