"Drive" director Nicolas Winding Refn has confirmed development on an adaptation of the graphic novel "The Incal". written in French by Alejandro Jodorowsky and illustrated by various artists including Moebius:
"...in 'The Incal', the story begins in the dystopian capital city of an insignificant planet in a human-dominated galactic empire.
"'DiFool' receives the 'Light Incal', a crystal of enormous powers, from a dying alien 'Berg'.
"The Incal is then sought by many factions includng the Bergs, the rebel group 'Amok' and the 'Church of Industrial Saints', aka the 'Technopriests', a sinister technocratic cult that worships the 'Dark Incal'..."
