"Captain America: The Winter Soldier"- In The Name Of 'Batroc'

Marvel Studios' "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" currently shooting principal photography features 'Cap' fighting many Marvel Comics' villains including 'Georges Batroc', aka 'Batroc the Leaper', played by actor and former 'UFC' Welterweight Champion Georges St-Pierre:

Created by writer Stan Lee and illustrator Jack Kirby for Marvel Comics' "Tales of Suspense" #75 (1966) , Batroc is a mercenary by trade, adept at the French form of kick-boxing known as 'savate'.

Batroc has no superhuman abilities, but is in peak physical condition, with the strength of an Olympic-level weightlifter. His leg muscles are particularly well developed enabling him to leap great distances. He is also an expert hand-to-hand combatant and skilled military tactician, having formerly been in the 'French Foreign Legion'.

Batroc is also an experienced thief and smuggler, fluent in both French and English. Although, as a villain, he does not hesitate to perform any number of criminal acts for his clients, Batroc has, by his own rights, a strong sense of honor, and will turn against any client that unfairly deceives him into committing crimes to which he might not otherwise have agreed.
