Hammer Greenlights "Woman In Black 2"



Simon Oakes, President & CEO of Hammer reports that actors Jeremy Irvine ("War Horse") and Phoebe Fox ("Switch") will star in Hammer Films' "The Woman in Black: Angel of Death", the sequel to the feature "The Woman in Black".


The new film will continue the story forty years later, when seized by the government during World War II, the sudden arrival of a group of evacuated children at 'Eel Marsh House' "...awakens its darkest inhabitant..."



To be directed by Tom Harper, the movie will be produced by Exclusive Media’s Tobin Armbrust and Simon Oakes, Cross Creek Pictures' Brian Oliver and Talisman Films' Richard Jackson,from a screenplay by Jon Croker ("Desert Dancer"), based on an original story by Susan Hill ("The Woman In Black").


"The Woman in Black", starring Daniel Radcliffe, directed by James Watkins ("Eden Lake") is noted as the highest-grossing British horror film of the past 20 years, grossing over $130 million worldwide.
