"The Walking Dead: Welcome To The Tombs"

The final Season 3 episode of the ultra-violent 'zombie' dramatic TV series "The Walking Dead" is titled "Welcome To The Tombs", written by Ernest Dickerson and directed by Glen Mazzara, airing March 31, 2013 on AMC:

"...'Rick' and the others consider the defense of the prison as an impending attack by the 'Governor' looms large..."

"The episode doesn’t pull any punches," said actor Andrew Lincoln, aka 'Rick Grimes, about "Welcome To The Tombs".

"It’s pretty much what everyone has grown accustomed to in our season finale. It’s carnage, and there is death. Something happens that I find incredibly shocking that relates directly to my character and the prison family.

"It really came out of left field for me and I never expected it. When I read the script, I was really shocked...I don't think people will be disappointed."
