"The Amazing Spider-Man 2": Horns Of The Rhino

Sneak Peek the original 'Rhino' episode from the 1960's "Amazing Spider-Man" cartoon series, following the news that actor Paul Giamatti will play Marvel Comics super-villain in director Marc Webb's sequel to "The Amazing Spider-Man", starting February 2013 in New York City.

Giamatti will join Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Shailene Woodley, Dane DeHaan, Martin Sheen and Jamie Foxx as the super-villain 'Electro'.

Principal photography will start in New York City for a two-week shoot, February 12 to 26, under the production title "Untitled Columbia Pictures Project".

The sequel seemed a natural for the studio and director Webb as "The Amazing Spider-Man" released July 2012, earned Domestic  $262,030,663, + Foreign: $490,185,894, for a Total Lifetime Gross Worldwide of  $752,216,557.

The Rhino', aka 'Aleksei Mikhailovich Sytsevich' was created by writer Stan Lee and illustrator John Romita, Sr., debuting in Marvel Comics' "The Amazing Spider-Man" #41 (Oct. 1966).

A thug for hire working for an Eastern Bloc country, Sytsevich volunteered to participate in an experiment bonding a super-strong polymer to his skin. The bulletproof rhino-like hide, with two horns capable of penetrating plate steel, granted 'The Rhino' resistance to physical injury, explosions, anti-tank fire and temperature extremes.

A second comic book version of the character featured him wearing  high-tech armor wielding a battle-axe with blades in the shape of rhinoceros horns.
