Kristen Stewart Has An Axe To Grind In "Snow White and The Huntsman"

Sneak Peek more new images from Universal Pictures' upcoming fantasy feature "Snow White and the Huntsman", starring Kristen Stewart as 'Snow White', Chris Hemsworth as the 'Huntsman', Charlize Theron as the 'Queen' and Sam Claflin as the 'Prince'.

Directed by Rupert Sanders from a screenplay by Evan Daugherty, "Snow White" is the first of a planned trilogy, inspired by the Brothers Grimm fairy tale "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" :

"...'Snow White' (Stewart) loves ' Prince Charmant' (Sam Claflin), a boy of the same age as her and from whom she was separated as a teen.

"She has been forced to live under the hard rules of ' Queen Ravenna' (Theron), where her only friends were forest animals that would come to see her.

"Snow White's life is turned upside down when Ravenna discovers that Snow White is about to become 'the fairest'.


"Eric is haunted by the death of his wife, 'Sara', with whom he was deeply in love and cannot silence the pain caused by her loss. He drinks heavily and spends his days hunting for the 'White Wolf' that killed her.

"He is purely mercenary, taking the money Ravenna offers to bring the most beautiful maidens in the land to the castle.

"However, when Eric discovers that the White Wolf works for Ravenna, he escapes with Snow White to the 'Dark Forest' and prepares to avenge his wife's death..."

Casting of the 'Dwarves' in the film is predominantly 'CGI head grafting' onto the bodies of 'little people', showacsing actors Ian McShane as 'Caesar', Eddie Izzard as 'Tiberius', Bob Hoskins as' Constantine', Toby Jones as 'Claudius', Eddie Marsan as 'Hadrian', Stephen Graham as 'Nero' and Ray Winstone as 'Trajan'.

"Snow White and The Huntsman", will be released June 1, 2012.

Sony Gears Up For "Robot & Frank"

Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions (SPWA) and Samuel Goldwyn Films are partnering on the North American rights to Park Pictures Features’ "Robot & Frank", starring Frank Langella, Susan Sarandon, James Marsden, Liv Tyler, Peter Saarsgard, Jeremy Sisto and Jeremy Strong :

 
"...set in the near future, 'Frank' (Langella) a retired jewel thief gets a new lease on life when he is introduced to a surprising new companion. With the help of his new friend, he attempts to woo a local librarian (Sarandon) and resume his criminal escapades..."
 
"Robot & Frank" is produced in association with White Hat Entertainment and Dog Run Pictures, directed by Jake Schreier, written by Christopher Ford and produced by Galt Niederhoffer, Sam Bisbee, Jackie Kelman Bisbee and Lance Acord.

Spielberg Believes In "Gods and Kings"

According to new reports, director Steven Spielberg is moving closer to directing his biblical epic, "Gods and Kings", for Warner Bros. following the Old Testament story of religious leader, lawgiver and prophet, 'Moses.'

Screenplay is by Michael Green and Stuart Hazeldine for producers Dan Lin ("Sherlock Holmes") and Matti Leshem.

Charting the Moses story from birth to death will include his
consolidation of the Hebrew tribes in Canaan towards the end of the Bronze Age, freeing his people from Egyptian slavery, the parting of the Red Sea and receiving the 'Ten Commandments'.

Charlton Heston previously portrayed Moses in the 1956 feature "The Ten Commandments" and Sir Ben Kingsley played him in the 1995 TV movie "Moses".

'Peter Parker': Does Whatever A "Spider" Can

Thanks to Columbia Pictures, take a look at the official synopsis of director Marc Webb's upcoming re-boot, "The Amazing Spider-Man", opening in 3D, 2D and IMAX theaters, July 3, 2012 :

"...'Peter Parker' (Andrew Garfield) is an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his 'Uncle Ben' (Martin Sheen) and 'Aunt May' (Sally Field).

"Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, 'Gwen Stacy' (Emma Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment and secrets.
