Produced by Eon Productions for MGM, Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Entertainment, "Skyfall" is directed by Sam Mendes ("The Road To Perdition"), featuring actor Daniel Craig's third performance as 'James Bond'. Judi Dench also reprises her role as British Intelligence head "M" for the seventh consecutive film :
"...'MI6' operative 'James Bond', agent '007', questions his loyalty to his superior, 'M', when her past actions have consequences in the present. When MI6 itself is attacked, Bond must seek out and eliminate the threat..."
"Skyfall" cast also includes Javier Bardem, Ralph Fiennes, Albert Finney, Naomi Harris, Rory Kinnear, Bérénice Marlohe, Helen McCrory, Ola Rapace and Ben Whishaw.
North American release date for "Skyfall" is November 9, 2012, as part of a yearlong celebration of the 50th anniversary of "Dr. No" and the start of the Bond movie franchise.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and "Funny Or Die", have produced an official trailer supporting the "84th Academy Awards", featuring host Billy Crystal and celebrity cameo appearances by Josh Duhamel, Megan Fox, William Fichtner and Vinnie Jones.
"We wanted to try something a little bit different this year instead of a traditional, clip-based piece," said Academy Chief Marketing Officer Christina Kounelias. "The trailer has a fun twist that conveys how excited everyone is to have Billy back."
Crystal's upcoming appearance will mark his ninth turn hosting the "Academy Awards".
Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2011 will be presented Sunday, February 26, at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center, televised live by the ABC Television Network and seen in more than 225 countries worldwide.

Konami Digital's "Silent Hill: Downpour", the eighth "Silent Hill" video game will be released in North America, March 6, 2012, for both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 :

With an equal emphasis on strategy and tactical combat, the video game "XCOM: Enemy Unknown" places players in control of the secret paramilitary organization 'XCOM'. As 'Commander', players defend against a global alien invasion, managing resources, advancing technologies and overseeing combat/unit tactics.
Released in 1993, the original "X-COM" re-imagined by Firaxis Games. expands its universe with a fresh alien invasion story, enemies and technologies to defend the Earth.
"XCOM: Enemy Unknown" will be available fall 2012 for Games for Windows, Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system.
Toronto-based IMAX Corp., with headquarters in Los Angeles and New York, now has as many as 500 IMAX theaters in 48 countries, with a focus on China, where IMAX plans to increase its screens to 100 in 2012, up from 58 in 2011.
To keep bringing in audiences, IMAX plans to sign more deals with studios for IMAX preview screenings and cameras. The cameras make it possible to expand the sequences to fill an entire IMAX screen.
"The Amazing Spider-Man", "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" and "The Dark Knight Rises", will all be released in the IMAX format in 2012.
In a deal with Eastman Kodak Co., laser projection technology will allow IMAX to install digital projectors at its biggest screens and at domed screens "...to show films with more light and more colors..."
Strong results for "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" and "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2", enabled third-quarter box office receipts to rise 53 percent to $149 million in 2011.
"Spartacus": Vengeance," the third historical mini-series of the action drama "Spartacus" , premieres January 27, 2012, starring Liam McIntire.

The second season sequel to "Spartacus: Blood and Sand", follows 'Spartacus' (McIntyre, replacing Andy Whitfield), after he and his fellow gladiators kill their master 'Batiatus' and escape from his gladiatorial training school 'ludus'.
The prequel, "Spartacus: Gods of the Arena", airing January 2011, averaged an estimated 6.2 million total viewers per episode across all linear channels and on-demand viewing.
Cast members and characters who return for "Vengeance" include Lucy Lawless as 'Lucretia', Peter Mensah as 'Oenomaus', Manu Bennett as 'Crixus', Nick Tarabay as 'Ashur' and Viva Bianca as 'Ilithyia'.
Craig Parker also returns as 'Gaius Claudius Glaber' and Dustin Clare reprises his role as 'Gannicus' from "Spartacus: Gods of the Arena".
"The Simpsons"' episode "Politically Inept, With Homer Simpson", guest-starring rocker Ted Nugent, airs January 8, 2012 on Fox in the US and Global in Canada :
