With a reported production budget of $250 million, "The Dark Knight Rises" distributed by Warner Bros. earned a domestic North American box office gross of $448,093,796, coupled to a Foreign international accumulation of $632,902,188, for a total Worldwide take of $1,080,995,984.
"...it has been eight years since 'Batman' vanished into the night, turning, in that instant, from hero to fugitive. Assuming the blame for the death of D.A. 'Harvey Dent', the 'Dark Knight' sacrificed everything for what he and 'Commissioner Gordon' both hoped was the greater good.
