According to reports, writer Ryan Engle will script an adaptation of the 2005 comic book "The New West", created by writer Jimmy Palmiotti and illustrator Phil Noto, for producers Benderspink, Len Wiseman and Gareb Shamus :
"..disgraced former Los Angeles Police detective 'Daniel Wise', endures a near future deserted hostile LA environment where the 'Mayor' has been kidnapped. Wise is the only one who can save him, but can he do it with just a horse and sword?..."
