The Oscars' Academy is currently narrowing down its short list for the 'Animated Short Award', that includes the 3D film, "'Maggie Simpson' in The Longest Daycare", written by "Simpsons" creator Matt Groening and "Simpsons" TV series producer James L. Brooks.
The four-and-a-half-minute short that screened in theatres before the animated feature "Ice Age 4", has 'Maggie' face off against her nemesis, 'Baby Gerald'.
Nominations for the 85th Academy Awards will be announced January 10, 2013 and the awards will air live, February 24, 2013 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
