This special issue of 'The Walking Dead" features the first comic book appearance of 'Michonne'.
Also appearing is a 'Michonne' origin story that first appeared in "Playboy Magazine".
'Michonne' is played by actress Danai Gurira in Season 3 of AMC's "The Walking Dead" TV series. Her first appearance was near the end of the second season finale episode "Beside the Dying Fire", where she saves 'Andrea' from a 'walker' by decapitating it with her katana.
As in the comics, she is accompanied by two walkers that are chained to her side by side with their arms and lower jaws cut off (to prevent them from attacking her or others).
