Following a complaint by competitor L'Oreal, Oscar winning actress Actress Natalie Portman ("Black Swan") recently had a print ad for her Diorshow "New Look" mascara campaign, banned in the UK by the Advertising Standards Authority.
The independent regulatory body representing advertisers, ruling the ad "must not appear again in its current form" (!?)
The ASA found that the ad employed 'post-production techniques' to enhance Portman's lashes in a way that could mislead consumers about the efficacy of the mascara.
