"Thor 2" : Hammer Time For 'Beta Ray Bill' ?

With the announcement of  "Thor 2" ready to shoot, some fans are hoping that the Marvel Comics character 'Beta Ray Bill', a staunch ally of both 'Thor' and 'Asgard', be included somewhere in the film.

Created by writer/illustrator Walt Simonson, 'Beta Ray Bill' debuted in Marvel Comics' "Thor" #337 (Nov. 1983), becoming the first being outside of the Marvel Norse pantheon deemed worthy enough to wield Thor's magic hammer, 'Mjolnir'.

Beta Ray Bill was first introduced as an alien belonging to the 'Korbinite' race, with his life force and consciousness transferred by scientists into the body of a carnivorous 'equine'-like beast that had been bionically restructured into a cyborg. (?!)  Courtesy of advanced genetic engineering, Bill has  superhuman strength, speed, stamina, durability, an extended lifespan and superior hand-to-hand combatant skills.

Bill's main weapon, 'Stormbreaker', also has the same properties as Thor's hammer, Mjolnir, with the ability to also transform into a walking stick when struck upon the ground and return Bill to his unaltered Korbinite form.
