"The Avengers" Assembles $1 Billion In 19 Days

Disney reports that "The Avengers" will have earned $1 billion in global box office receipts as of Sunday, May 13, 2012, in the 19th day of the film's release.

The $1 billion bench-mark was reached from  earnings of $103.2 million domestically over the weekend, plus $95.4 million from 54 foreign territories.
