"The Walking Dead: Season 1- Special Edition"

Anchor Bay Entertainment has now released the AMC original series "The Walking Dead: Season 1- Special Edition", October 4, 2011.

The set contains all six episodes of the first season with new behind-the-scenes featurettes, sneak peeks, audio commentaries, extra footage and a fan-requested black and white version of the pilot episode.

Episodes contain audio commentaries with producer/writer/director Frank Darabont, executive producer Gale Anne Hurd, executive producer/writer Robert Kirkman, producer Denise Huth, actor Andrew Lincoln, SFX make-up artist/consulting producer Greg Nicotero and a whole lot more.

"...based on writer Robert Kirkman's Image Comics' series, the TV series tells the story of the months and years that follow after a 'zombie apocalypse', as a group of survivors, led by police officer 'Rick Grimes' (Lincoln), travel in search of a safe and secure home.

"At every turn they are faced with the horrors that come from having the dead walk again..."

Season Two will debut October 16, 2011 on AMC.

New episodes will feature Grimes' group of survivors leaving Atlanta for the countryside, including the 'Greene' family farm, a setting in the comic book series.
