"Sons Of Anarchy" - September 6, 2011

"Sons of Anarchy", the crime action TV series about a degenerate family of 'good-natured' bikers and gunrunners, debuts its fourth season with a 90-minute premiere, Tuesday, September 6th @ 10:00 p.m. ET on FX.

Ron Perlman ("Hellboy") stars as killer 'Clarence "Clay" Morrow', president of the club, with Katey Sagal (in a Golden Globe winning performance) as 'Gemma Teller Morrow', wife of Clay and mother to 'Jax', the son of her late Viet Nam vet husband and club founder.

Don Johnson look-alike Charlie Hunnam ("Nicholas Nickleby") plays thoughtful young killer 'Jackson "Jax" Teller', vice president of the club who has constant doubts about his role in the family.

The third season of the series attracted an average of 4.9 million viewers per week, making it FX's highest rated series ever, surpassing FX's other hits "The Shield", "Nip/Tuck" and "Rescue Me" :

"...'Sons of Anarchy' is the story of the 'Teller-Morrow' family of 'Charming', California, the biker members of the 'Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club, Redwood Original' ('SAMCRO'), their families and the various rivals and associates who either undermine or support SAMCRO's legal and illegal enterprises..."

Directed by Paris Barclay, episode 4.1, titled "Out", also stars Tommy Flanagan, Winter Ave Zoli, Anthony Martins, and Damien Moreno. When Season 3 ended, most of the SAMCRO biker gang were sent to prison. Season 4 picks up fourteen months later, with the release of Jax, Clay and the rest of the gang.

Physician 'Tara' (Maggie Siff) has been raising Jax’ son 'Abel', along with their own baby son, with the help of Jax’s mother 'Gemma' (Sagal).
